1. I love that you guys have come to rely on my morning breakfast sandwich almost as much as I do. Hilarious! You know me too well.

2. On a related note, back when I first started dieting and trying to eat healthy over a year ago, I was convinced that protein at breakfast time was essential to staying full throughout the morning. Well—I am here to tell you that changing things up to oatmeal or cereal with fruit instead has kept me just as full as my usual egg sandwich. More proof that you should eat what you crave!

3. I got an email earlier this week from Tough Mudder. Last minute identification of another photo:

LOL. My expression is even more hilarious from this angle I think.

4. Me and my college BFF impulsively booked a trip to New Orleans a couple weeks ago. We’re heading down there next weekend!! I’m so psyched. Anyone ever been to New Orleans? Recommendations?!

5. I’ve been getting into some pretty epic trash television marathons lately. I watched Long Island Princesses over the weekend and could not look away. Addicted. Also been watching some retro-Kardashians. It’s pretty amazing.

6. Even though I was feeling super sore from my bootcamp class on Monday, I decided I really wanted to try Fitnessista’s Summer Shape Up workout this week. I went to the gym after work and did Workout 2 from the program which incorporated a lot of supersets. I loved it! And I fought my fear and actually did a strength workout at the gym! Are you proud? It was only slightly embarrassing when I kept tripping over the jump rope. Jumping rope is hard. You really have to concentrate.

7. My legs are completely dead now though. Definitely need to do some extra foam rolling and stretching tonight. If you’re in the mood for an awesome leg workout, here’s a great one Tribesports just shared with me!

This workout (details here) is part of a challenge too. If you sign up and take the challenge, you could win lots of cool prizes, like sneakers, protein bars, and fitness magazine subscriptions. Fun stuff!

8. I tried a new restaurant chain that opened nearby the other day, Boloco. Their menu theme is “globally inspired burritos”.

I ended up deciding on the Teryaki bowl. It was pretty good! A little salty for me, but I can’t wait to try some of the others. Classic, Thai peanut, and Buffalo chicken sound so good!

The best part of this restaurant though is hands down their milkshakes.

That’s a Nutella milkshake. I want one every day for the rest of my life. Is that too much to ask?

9. I was reading my Fitness magazine the other night and stumbled on an article that made me feel so much better about something.

Confession: I sweat a lot. More than a full grown man. It’s really quite disgusting. I’m that girl—dripping sweat all over the exercise mats and machines (don’t worry, I obsessively clean them after). But I feel a little better about this gross trait because apparently it means my body’s sweat regulation system is “finely tuned.” I’ll take it.

10. Matt and I’s anniversary of our first date is tomorrow! I think we may go out for dinner or something to celebrate. I can’t believe we’ve been together for a year! It doesn’t feel like it at all. I still feel like we’re just getting to know each other sometimes. We’re about to get to know each other really well though because—we’re moving in together! AH. I’m terrified. And excited. But that’s a whole ‘nother post in and of itself. Not on the topic of food or fitness, would you guys be interested in something like that?

Anyway! It’s bedtime for me. Talk to you all tomorrow! (I think)
